11 needles!

Now all the vaccination are finished!

I totally had 11 injections and two drinks (against kolera and other gastrointestnal infection). Also I managed to vaccinate my floor and my cat for Kolera by loosing one of the drinks on the floor.. Good, if the cat ever decides to go to Africa... ;-)

Well, i used to be a little afraid of needles (getting them, not giving them). But I deffinnately think I'm cured now ;) Just bring the big needles, I can take them! ;)

Have had a nice weekend at home with my parents, just relaxing =). Also, I had my first outside bath today! =D Must remember to bring the bikini to fredrikstad...

So tomorrow Im going back to Fredrikstad again. Looking forward to meet all my friends at the course again.. =)

And on thursday Christian will come visit me! =D And then we will go to sweden to my parents nd my sister. Is will be tha last visit in Sweden before I leave for Malawi. It feels very sad.. =( I will miss everyone so much...

Good Night! =) //Maria

It has begun! =D

I will from now on write in english, so that all the lovely people I've met and will meet can be able to read.

Now I am at the preperatory course in Fredrikstad, in eastern Norway. Only three weeks to go, then I'll be off to malawi together with Linn-Kristin. I will later make a link to her blog aswell.

There will also be possible to read about our journey at www.fk-world.com, you have to log in as a guest.
At this page, yoy will find information about the projects, the people and see our updates, pictures and blogs.

Anyhow, I will also keep this blog and try to post pictures even here. However, thing I film will only be available at www.fk-world.com (no films yet, but it will come after arriving to Malawi.

This first week at the course has been all about food. I think that the main purpose is tó feed us before going abroad. The food is in any case fantastic! Buffè with everything ypu can imagine. And every buffé includes (every day) fresh seefood, unpealed shrimps and big crabs and blueshells. and the desserts...!! I could talk for hours about them, but well, tomorrow I will try to post some photos so you can see for your self.... =)

There are so many wonderful people here from all over the world, and it is an adventure in itself to meet all of them and to get to know their cultures and their way of life. Yesterday I had my hair braided by two african girls. Unfortunately i ruined the hair during night so now it just looks like... Well, I look something like a sheep ;)

Now I'm going to take a little nap before I go back to eating, hehe..

Tonight there will be a big party with all the homecoming participants. Looking forward to it! =)

Nighty night! ( or not, but you know....)
