Senga Bay, Lake Malawi!

Spent a wonderful weekend at Senga Bay. We stayed at a place called the Wheelhouse Lodge. It was fullbooked so we spent the nights in a tent. It was a nice experience! =)

The beach was amazing. The sand was golden, red and black. Dark black. And so soft, like flour, but black! =) And it was kind of magnetic. It got stuck in other magnetic material... Maybe it was some kind of metal in the sand? Anyhow, it was beautiful.

I also stood up on a surfing board! On my feet! Close to the shore, of course... hehe. But next time.....!! =)

The water was wonderful, warm and blue... =) Some people say that you should neverswim in lake Malawi because of the risk of getting bilharzia (evil parasite eating it's way through your skin)..But when you get there, you really can't worry about anything like bilharzia, you just have to swim or you die unsatisfied and sad. And there are easy medication to take against bilharzia, so I am not worried.

There were millions of lizards, green big ones. Most of them were approximately 10 to 20 cm. But I saw a really big one, out on a rock in the water. This guy was about almost one meter long! Comopletely green, very cute. A guy like him can for dure eat a lot of bugs. Me like!

They also had a crocodile in a pond, a bar on the beach and plenty of dogs! =)

I would love to put some pics here.... Buut the internet is so slow. I tried several times, it takes almost an hour for a picture, no matter the size....  And when the picture is finished loading, internet collapses.... =(
